So im doing the 300zx vlsd swap in my s13 and when taking the cover off the vlsd i snapped a bolt on the diff. i started a pilot whole so i could tap it and make it a size bigger thread. But my question is how bad would it be if i just didnt put that bolt back in? Would it leak excessively? Any Suggestions?

Try using an easy out. Odds are it will eventually leak at some point without running the bolt. See it with oil pans pretty often.
