does anyone know step by step what they did to install there solid diff bushing (spl or stance). can i install them with the diff in the car? i am waiting for the bushings to come in the mail. ..... it looks like i can leave eveything togather, just pull one old rubber mount out at a time and install solid and move to the next mount..... do i get rid of the old spacers and only have the new solid stuff there???? any info. will be greatly appreciated. i love 240!!!!

Your life is about to get difficult, I think.

If those are the diff housing bushings, removing or not removing the diff will be the least of your problems. If the bushing doesn't have a steel sheath, they'll be a nightmare to get out. Oh, and yes, the old bushings come out and the new replace them. If there's no metal sheath around the old bushing, you'll have to get in there with a knife or chisel and scrape away ALL the old bushing material before you put the new ones in, too.

Lemme know how it goes, heh heh.

put the bushings in the freezer over night. then burn the majority of the old ones out and scrape the remnents of the rest out. the new ones will have to b pressed in but u can use a large c-clamp to do that. to make your life easier it would be easier to drop the subframe out of the car
