Diff between 99.5 and 2000 QX4

So i have a 99.5 SIlver (KR4) Qx4.A branch fell on my driver side mirror and cracked the housing. I just ordered a replacement from a recycler on car-part.com (100$ including shipping for housing/mirror etc !!)

The listing was as 1999 KR4 color. Called the guy he verified it is KR4 paint code..same bluish tent on mirror etc. Said it was an exact match. He than sent me the VIN of the vehicle and it is pulling as a 2000 Qx4 (Kr4 paint). When i run my vin in pulls as a 99.5 (kr4 paint)

Is this going to be a matching part? I assume it is since the paint code is the same and the body was the same, but im curious. I know i will find out when it arrives but figured id ask.

Well the mirror showed up today..paint and everything matched up PERFECT!!

Only thing that sucked was while removing the door panel EVERY SINGLE fking popper ripped out of the door panel and stayed in the door. I had to pry them out with pliars and a flat head..reinsert them into the panel and pop it back on. Fotunatly it worked out but it was rediculous.

thats normal of the things to stay in the door, happens every time

and yeah 99.5 is the same as 2000 and thats it 2001 is different and 1999 is different so u got lucky

6 months and a whole bunch of BS explaining to people its a 99.5.....

"what its a 99.5, you mean a 1999".......

I just tell people its a 2000 now.......
