Has anyone installed the dif fan controller ver. D on an rb25 with the battery relocated? Right now I'm having trouble with the controller even with the key out the fans pulse off and on ever minute or so. Wondering if anyone had this same problem?

I have a previous revision, but no issues with a relocated battery.

If it's pulsing, it's telling you what 'mode' it's in. You need to have an override switch wired in. Set the dials for 'Nissan'. It will pulse the fans to correlate to the programmed values. It is in the manual. Unless the programming procedure has changed. You have to re-program the controller every time it looses power (i.e. disconnect from +12v hot).

you do NOT have to reprogram if you lose power. there is a sequence it looks for to start the programming.

if it's still pulsing the whole time the car is off it sounds like something could be wired wrong. check the ignition switch input to the controller. if it's getting constant power that could explain your problem

Did you follow the programming setup instructions? It sounds like the temperature settings are too low. I thought mine was messed up because it wouldn't turn them on. Then, I kept turning one knob CW until a fan turned on and then I did the same thing for the second channel to turn on the second fan.

And battery relocation has no correlation to it.

Well I didn't wire the ac 12v in and I didn't do a 12v ignition wire I haven't figured out where to put that wire I thought it was just for the 30 sec cool down but everything else is wired correctly. I was wondering if the battery being in the trunk had some type of effect on it. what do you guys have your 12v ignition to?

I had an older version. my FALS burnt it out. still have to relay isolate the fans.

Again, the battery location could be at your neighbors house and it wouldn't affect how your fans operate.

There is no AC power on an automobile. Everything is based on 12V DC. You don't need to wire up the ignition or AC wires for the controller to work. Did you try doing what I suggested in my previous post?

I didnt mean alternating current i meant air condition, i can get the fan to pulse 4 times for nissan temp but when i reconnect power the fans wont come on at opperating temps, even if i put it on the lowest setting. I didnt do the clock wise thing i didnt see your post i must have over looked it.

haha my bad! You don't need to connect the AC wire either.

OK good you are on the right path. I did the exact same thing as you but they didn't turn on. Keep turning the knobs until they kick on and you'll be ready to rock. Make sure to set the fans slightly higher (like 1-2*)than your thermostat temp so they aren't running the entire time you are driving down the highway.
