Diesel Versa

I have heard that nissan will bring Diesel Maxima back in 2010 to US, have any one heard if they are also will try to bring diesel versa or diesel sentra. Now that would be the car that I would want to drive

A diesel Versa would be sweet. I wish more European cars were sold here. They are coming out with hybrid turbo diesels that will get around 80 MPG in the city.

I talked to a colleague in France yesterday and he just ordered a new Renault Clio with the 1.5L Turbodiesel and 6 speed manual. I guess it supposed to perform as well as most of the 2.0L diesels and I'd expect pretty comparable to the 1.8L in our Versa. Possibly quicker up to 60mph, then a little slower after.

It would be an option worth considering if the new emission equipment.... particulate filter and clean blue urea stuff isn't too high maintenance. Biodisel is also readily available in my area as well... if you don't mind contributing to rising food prices.
