DIESEL POWER!!! Nissan Datsun BD21 Crewcab

I will find a way to post photos, wondering if there is anyone else out there with the same or similar truck...want to compare notes. I just imported from Japan to Canada a 1992 Nissan Datsun Crewcab 4wd Pickup with the Turbo Diesel 2.7L engine and a five speed transmission. It had only 15000km on it when it arrived, since driving it from Vancouver BC, getting my safety inspection done, a trailer hitch installed, a remote starter/turbo timer put on, I have put approx 2500km on it, and it is averaging 35mpg! Anyone out there have a similar truck... any mods for this one? Wondering if I coud find a lift for it to put some taller tires on...it could use a little in the gearing dept.

We do get visits from a few aussie folks who do have your truck so hopefully they will come around and pass some engine performance info your way. As far as suspensions go, there a few manufacturers out there.

If you want to get freaky with your Hardbody, there is a company called Total Chaos who makes a wicked long travel IFS system. I like this one myself and nearly bought it for my Xterra. (Timing wasn't right though)Total Chaos

I'd seriously consider giving body parts to have a TDI in my truck, but you can't get them smog legal here.

Albertan I am! Gotta figure out how to get some pictures on here. Having grief in getting a lift kit that will work, the Trailmaster I ordered will NOT fit...RHD is very specific we find out.... so anyone who has any contacts in Japan or can get hold of Japanese built and sourced aftermarket suspension parts...HELP!!!

that is its twin brother! The box style is a little diferent, mine does not have the outside tie/cleats, but other wise the same cab... gotta get some pics posted here soon. Thanks
