Diesel / gas motor fan compatibility?

I have a diesel 720 (SD22 engine) that for whatever reason the previous owner has removed the fan & fan clutch...I haven't had any issues with it overheating as of yet, but I don't know if I'd trust it not to in the rare occasion when I might be stuck in traffic on a 95 degree day. I came across gas parts truck down the road from me, I was wondering if any knew if the fan from a Z22 or Z24 engine would fit on the diesel SD22 motor?

It Should. I had put a fan from a RB 20 DET on my J16 engine. It fit but did not last long as the pump was not designed for that size or weight of fan. But you should not have that problem as your pump is a lot more robust.
