Dies when i tap the gas...help plzz

ok i replaced the distributor cap on my 240 and now when I start it, it idles really really really really quiet. theres no roar.... and as soon as i tap the gas it dies.....does it sound like the plugs are fouled??? thanks 4 your help

maybe fuel pump, bad gas, low on gas...

I ran out of gas ONCE in my life and while it was happening I noticed when I pressed the gas it would almost cut off...

check the fpr as well.

Did you bump the MAF wire?
