I had an issue like this when I would give it more than 1/3 throttle the car would start to bog.
Have you replaced the 20 year old plastic intake piping that goes from the turbo to the MAF sensor? When I had a friend give it throttle I could see the Intake piping sucking closed. It was like sucking a frozen milkshake through a straw. The center of the pipe would suck closed. I recently replaced mines with an aluminum pipe. I hope this helps.
