die at idle

heres another idle problem

when i start my car in the morning it will idel for 3 mins then the rpm will drop n car will die if i dont gas a little... but just tonight when i start my car after parking there for 7hours, it just die on me i start it up again it die again it happen about 3 times... but after the car is warm theres no problem at all at idle...

btw my car is running rich because the car was tune at 91octane but im using 93 cuz im jersey now so could that be the problem..

please help me out guy thanks in advance

Running 93 octane isn't going to cause this.

However, an IACV (Idle Air Control Valve) that happens to stick will. After the car warms possibly the IACV starts to actually function correctly. You might want to take it off and clean it out with carb cleaner, that seemed to work great for me when my KA was doing the exact same thing.

ya try cleaning your IACV but you dont have to take it off to clean it..just take the idle adjustment screw out from the top of it and spray carb cleaner down in it..sometimes people use as much as a whole can of carb cleaner..another thing i did to clean it was spray it with compressed air using my air compressor and i stuck a long stick on it and hit the other end of the stick with a hammer to loosen up carbon..if you arent sure of where this is located it is between your second and third intake manifold runners just look down and you'll see it. it is a square shaped and that screw is on the top.
