Whats the difference between a VG30DE and a VQ30DE?

vq is a newer gen motor and wont drop right in, vg30de is what our cars have, vq35 is in the 350z... if i were you have your old motor rebuild, its worth it, junk yard or jdm motors are a crap shoot.

Thanks for the info and I dont have a problem doing a rebuild but my block is shot so I need to find another motor but I cant find any 300zx's around me thats why im trying to find out if theres something else that has the same motor I can find easier.

anyone know what other vehicle clutch hose that goes to slave cylinder will fit a 93 NA Z.? The rubber one with the 2 metal clamp looking end.
