did the Y33 ever have factory option HID headlights ?

Yes, look at the 99+ Q's most of them all have HID, I'm not sure if they came stanard in that year or not. Go to edmunds.com and it'll tell you.

You should have read my post on the differences for each model year. Standard from 1999 on.
