Hello, I was asking if an original M37XS (which has the Sport package from the factory) had rear steering. I realize a non-Sport equipped M37 does not have the rear steering.

To be more clear, the "X" means the car has all wheel drive. Did the all wheel drive cars, that came with the Sport package from the factory, come with the rear wheel steering?

Does anyone know, or does anyone have one they can check?

Gotcha, thanks for clarifying. I believe the answer is still no. According to spec sheets [1][2][3] the 4WAS feature was only ever available for RWD. In fact, the combination of AWD + Sport trim in general (i.e. M37xS) was only produced in 2013 [4]. 2011/2012 Sport package was only available with RWD. (2014+ was the shift from M37 to Q70, with revised trim levels, which I'm not as familiar with but similar spec info is available online).

In short, I don't believe there exists an M37 with both AWD and 4WAS. I haven't seen reference here in the forums of anyone attempting the conversion - sounds like an interesting project!

(FWIW, I think most folks with 4WAS wish they /didn't/ have it, if reading the 4WAS failure threads is any indication...)
