We have problems here but we are not alone. I just saw this story from India:

Let's see.....

Communist rebels kill Hindu leader.Hindus respond by burning Christian orphanage.

Did the Hindus hire George Bush's advisory team?

I would agree that the Aztecs, maybe even the Incas hired JM's advisers, maybe even JM himself.

No. If they had hired Bush's advisers they would have invaded the orphanage, set up a military base, and restructured their government.

Not as much of a stretch is that John McCain hired them.

With joke after joke last night on Jay Leno's show about the frivolous "# of houses" issue, Jay jokingly asked how many houses Mcain really does own.

McCain seriously answered that he had been a POW.

????

He's losing any respect he had by continuing to answer that way all the time. He needs to give it a rest, read what's painted on the side of his bus, and try straight talk for a change. "I was a POW" is not the answer to every single question.

He changed the subject. Is how many houses he or more accurately, his wife owns really an issue for the election? Based all the crap everyone has dragged out on his finances, I'd say from a purely technical standpoint, he probably owns 0.

Well how about he agreed with GWBs failed policies 95% of the time.

Thats an important issue and a good enough reason not to vote for him.

If you'll notice, I said the issue was frivolous. He still needs to quit dragging out "I was a POW" as the answer to everything.

Ok fine. I'm calling you out. PROVE that GWB is responsible for the economic policies in effect and that they are responsible for the economy. I'm sick of hearing about "GWB's failed economic policies" you all sound like ****ing parrots. PROVE IT TO ME, don't just rehash what the DNC wants you to believe.

If you'll notice, I said he changed the subject, not answered with that.

Example:"Hey didn't you leave the party with that fat chic?""I got 45 frags in that last round of Halo."

Not an answer, a distraction. Maybe he thinks about it a lot. I bet if you were held captive and tortured for a few years you would think about it a lot too.

Back on topic. Most of the Hindus that I talk to at work have no problems with Christianity. Many say that since Hinduism embraces a pantheon of gods that going to a Christian church would not be contrary to their religion. So... maybe these 'Hindu Hardliners' need to meet some of the PIOs (Person of Indian Origin) at my work. My daughter will be going to preschool (in a Christian church) with a Hindu girl, so her mother doesn't seem to mind Christians.

Typically the issues that I hear about in India with Missionaries and new converts is with the "Untouchable" Dalit sect. Since this sect is protected by the Federal Indian Government and offered benefits, most of them are reluctant to convert to Christianity for fear of loosing their protections or benefits. Typically want happens is that a person converts in private and still retains his/her dalit status. bud
