Did Nissan ever sell the R50 with the VQ35 in stick shift form?

That's my question. Wikipedia doesn't really help specify if it did or not. I know the early years with the VG33 there was a 5-speed.

If there is an R50 with VQ35 power and 5-speed form, it's definitely a unicorn.

They sho' did; our good buddy Chuck Tribolet had one. I can't speak to how rare they are, though they are in the minority based on what I've seen here.

Aha!

You'd have a hard time finding a QX4 with a stick, though :chuckle: I'm positive they only came with automatics.

Funny thing that I came across this posting when I did. I own a 2002(last year for ANY North American 5-speed Pathfinder and first year the SE model came in flush body/flare colors) that looks just like the picture atraudes posted. I can attest to their unicorn value as I went hunting for months to find one that had everything I wanted and had to cross 3 states to get it. This has been my favorite car I have owned to date! I don't have any interior pictures of it at the moment but I have this pic I shot a couple summers ago. This one is very special with many options I never had seen the 5-speed SE's even have! Its getting some work done right now but I can post more pictures soon if anyone would like to see. They do exist!!! :dblthumb: ImageIf you can't see the image, here is a direct link...

I've got an 02, 5 speed as well. Solid truck, love the standard transmission, too bad it burns oil like crazy. :(

z31juice, fine looking vehicle! Good find :chuckle: The Pathfinders look excellent in white. If I had my choice of color, I'd either get it in white or this blue

It's a damn shame the QX4s had such a limited range of colors :squint:

Thanks so much atraudes! I have been a very very proud and lucky owner over the past 5 years! I totally agree with you on the colors too. I liked the white, the blue, and the 2004 Platinum Edition Grey. I couldn't believe in my search for my Pathfinder just how many 5-speeds were beige, had tan cloth interior, and had absolutely no options! It drove me nuts! This one has the charcoal interior color scheme which really complements/contrasts well with the white exterior.
As far as the oil consumption goes saskapath, its not too bad. The VQ motor is thirsty in every application I've seen it in. Being the loyal Nissan family we are, both G35's burn/burnt oil(even under 100k!) and the Murano burns it just as fast as the Pathy. You just keep your levels between the lines and these motors go clean over 300k miles no sweat! :bigthumb:
