I use Zaino Leather in a Bottle on all my surfaces (not glass) in my M. It works great and it smells MMMMmmmmmmmm!! Yeah, the plastic and the wood does just fine on the stuff.

I got a 2006 M45 with the premuim package 29000miles and paid $29700 plus a $1060 for a override on the certified warranty which takes it to 84mths/100,000miles and no deductible. With tax and all the dealer fees came to $32,800. I unfortunately wanted a 2007 but saw this one its a nice dark silver with black leather seatss and it was super clean. I know alot the first year cars are full of bugs, but this one has been good so far, only had it less than a month. I just turned forty and this is my first nissan product, have driven only Toyotas for last 14 yrs before that American cars and a classic Mini Cooper..

Ok, let's see. Currently, the M45 with Premium package (basically everything except the sports package and rear spoiler) is worth about $28k, with low mileage ($29k for a '06), I don't think you over paid. Now, on the extended warranty, I am not sure - never paid for extended warranty.

Back in Nov. through Feb. there were some killer deals, thus some got it for much less (roughly $4k less), but those kind of deal no longer exist any more, so you have to pay a bit more to get the M45 (or basically any car) nowadays.

Overall, I think you get an OK deal - not a killer, but, not over paid - consider it is in excellent condition with low mileage. So, enjoy the ride.

As for the wood trim, as long as you keep it clean and use some wood wax every year or two, there is really nothing to be worried about - they are good quality wood trim.

Right! If you can get me one with 29K miles with premium package and in excellent condition for $19,700, I will fly to where ever you are (as long as you are in US) tomorrow with my check book ready.

Heck, I will buy 2 - since I can make money selling them.

KBB has his same exact car listed for 33k.....So how'd he pay too much? I have seen several folks on here who have gotten "killer" deals..only to post complaints and problems about their new purchases later on. As long as you didn't pay more than KBB or Edmunds he did alright!

Watch out for killer deals!

Thank you for the info, I suffer from buyers remorse on anything costing over 100 bucks, I know I did not overpay ten grand for it! I went into the dealer fully ready to make a "killer" deal but fell for this one car. I did not find any other M45 with the premuim package in my area, which my kids love having the rear TV with the headsets and my wife can watch movies up front on the Nav screen while we are on long road trips plus I am enjoying the XM radio so far but still trying to understand how to use it.

I felt I got an average deal. My wife, kids and I were so happy with this one car the dealer knew he had us sold, it was listed at $35,900. They did do a complete 30k service with new tires, brakes, drive belt (and a water pump?), air and cabin filter, wiper blades, and a full tank of gas plus my next service is free. I went for the extended overide on the warranty, as infiniti call it, because the regualar CPO warranty does not include the Nav system, also you have to pay a $50 deductable, so for the $1060 you get one extra year of coverage plus no deductable and covers the NAV system. I have not brought a used car in some 15yrs so I did it for my peace of mind, on my new car purchases I have never paid for an extended warranty. This car does have a ipod cord in the center console which I was told was factory equipment, what I dont know is what are the two slots next to the DVD player for, they look like a memory stick slots? Any ideas? And can you watch video off an ipod on the screens?

You did not overpay by $10,000. Maybe $3,000. I bought the same exact car in late March, M45 fully loaded, 51k miles, elite wrap warranty for $28k drive out.

Wholesale{trade in value} is under 20K.....the trick is to purchase from private owner for $500 more than what a dealer will give them for their car.

Take your freshly washed M45 to a few different dealers and see what they would be willing to pay you for your car.

most people severely overpay for used cars{especially purchased at the dealer} Why the used car department is always the most profitable{sometimes, the ONLY profitable} part of any dealership.

Dont forget, Infiniti is advertising $15,000-16,000 off brand new M45 models, as they are not selling and new body-style M hits the street later this year as a 2010 model{then the 06-09 model will nosedive in value overnight}

I got a 2007 M45 with sport package, tech package, advanced tech package, aero kit, and rosewood trim with 20,000 miles on it for $23,995 back in December.

I checked it through AutoCheck and Carfax and it came back with a stellar history.

I just happened to strike while the iron was smoking hot. I have had some nickel-dime growing pain issues with it that are common in these cars. So far I have been thrilled with my purchase.

The dealer I bought it from just had an 07 in with 42,000 miles and just the sport package and they were asking $29,995. So, the car had double the mileage of mine and about $5,000 or so less in options and they were asking $6,000 more than I paid them for mine back in December.

Here is my car, I paid less than they were asking.

Yeah, that is exactly what I was talking about. There are some killer deals back then, but if you buy a car now, expect to pay more (maybe a lot more depends where you are and what car you are buying).

For M35/M45, the price difference is right around $6-8K.

"Expect to pay more now"???? Only if you believe this is true- cars are not selling now, period, and M45's especially- good bargains are to be had for those who understand this and dont fall for the stories of used car salesmen! When Infiniti advertises $16,000 off brand new M models in stock, that should tell you something!

I got mine at the end of Jan. a sports pkg with 26k on the clock for $24k. I made the mistake though and didnt haggle with the price because in my area they were going for $30k at the time and the salesman knew that and kinda made me feel bad for asking for a couple more off but they were all non sports loaded and I wanted the sport. Ive since then added over $6k in upgrades wheels, aero pkg, tint, springs, spoilers, and exhaust. Now after I read about the body style change I wish I wouldve waited because the value is really gonna drop. A car that cost $25k now will be below $20K.

Check KBB, Edmunds and NADA for private party price yourself. Enough said.

Just got my 2008 M35 Saturday. 22,500 miles for $28k

No NAV, but since I always know where i'm going...

Not a scratch one her, inside or out. Took her to the $tealership where they gave her a clean bill of health and a free oilchange.

I'm happy and all is right with the world.

So, I was just like you. I fell in love with the M45 on the lot. It is a rare red/cream car and it was perfect, with 24k miles, every option (Bose, nav, etc. except for rear screen entertainment) and I settled for $28k. It had new tires and all services for 30K. (it is not a sport, but has chrome wheels and spoiler). I ended up buying (separately) an extended warranty to 100K (Infiniti elite) for $1,100. So total deal was 29.1K. However, this was back in June of 08. Nearly one year later, I don't regret a second of it.

I tend to keep my cars a long time (traded in my last car with 130,000k miles). You did great with your ride. My philosophy: If you are a car guy, enjoy what you drive, take care of it, and don't worry about what it costs. You deserve a nice ride. Keep her clean!

Enjoy!

Wholesale prices don't mean much to an average buyer. Most of us don't have access to Infiniti auctions to buy at wholesale prices. Also, private sellers very rarely sell their Ms at wholesale prices. They can easily sell at thousands more than wholesale prices but of course less than the dealer retail price.

The OP probably overpaid by $2-$3 grand but not by $10K in any practical sense. OP could have saved some money but in the end may not have ended up with the car he/she loved.

I bought mine in sept'08 and haven't seen a similar car (color + option pkg combo) put up for sale so far. I could not have waited 9 months looking for best possible price and letting the car I like go.

I am very happy with the car so far and it is one of the best driving cars on the market. I would only have to trade it for a Lexus LS460 of Jaguar XF, I owned performance cars when I was in my twenties (85 CRX Si, 91 Eclipse GS, and 94 Camaro Z28). All were brought new and as soon as they came out, so no real deals were possible. I then in 1996 brought a Toyota Camry and drove it for 147000 miles (I had kids) and it is a car that gave Toyota its name for dependability, I plan on keeping this car for around ten years a nd can only hope it is at least as dependable. So if I overpaid a few grand over the long run it will only cost my a few hundred a year. The M45 I got is the same silver in the pictures above and fully loaded and being I brought it used for peace of mind a 100k factory warranty was needed.

I loved this car from the moment I saw it. I jumped on it when I saw the the V8 going for what a same year G35 sedan was going for... 2006 m45 sport- loaded 38k miles. $23,500 otd in CA.

You might have overpaid a few grand, but you got what you wanted. If you waited until gas went back to $4 a gallon, you might see the prices sink again.

Tomorrow its 1 week old!....picked up an 06' M35 55k w/ NAV ...for $20,800..BUT my friend is a dealer so i paid dealer price... bought it straight from the auction and i only got this price because it was listed that it has no NAV...I got really luck.. 06's with nav and 47k miles were going for 23-24k at a dealer auction..which in return dealers will mark that up to about 28-29k..if they know the car is good they most likely wont budge below 27k if the metered the body paint and found replacement they will most likely go lower.....you paid average price for a good, original paint, M
