If your afraid to mess it up and your more of a amateur to the Z and can afford a second Z you can build a rough one. If you got the budget you can do anything I guess...

Workin on buildin my one Z up, its a lot of stress that I am not sure is worth it sometimes lol

the values are kinda wierd, it seems modded abused cars are worth about as much an a stock abused car, a clean low miles car is worth about as much as a well modded low miles car, there are few exceptions, the mods can increase the value if propery installed documented and tuned, 39k mile Z32's are few and far between, I would go hacking it up but I see nothing wrong with larger turbo's and a piggyback system added to a clean car, just keep in mind a car is a depreciating asset, it goes down in value, no matter what you do, there are excetions to that rule, and of course you can find a deal and buy low and sell high as circumstances allow, if you want 600hp build it, if you want resell value, sell it now because the value is only going down

I kind of agree....but I think clean TT Z32's have just about reached their low for price. I would bet money that they appreciate, albeit slightly, over the next 15 years instead of depreciating.

any z32 will appreciate eventually, as well as the 240z's they mark particular car generation bench marks. they led the way for each generation. after the z32 came nsx, 91 mr2, 93 supra 94 3000gt. the z is my generations 64 mustang in the import world. those 2, na or tt are and will be collectors cars. hold on to them

the origional 240Z's are now 37 years old, and unless you have an absolute cherry unmolested origional or a completely restored car or one of the first 500 produced, a decent drivable car will bring 3-5k, these cars cost a bit over 3k new, the difference is lots of new cars cost about 3k then, now they cost 40k, if you wait 30 years your car might be worth 40k, bt a new car will cost 150k, assuming we havn't swithed to the rhubarb as a form of currency by then
