Decided to withdraw my complaint with Pinnacle. I ordered my second cam sprocket and received it promptly. I take responsiblity for the mistake. I should not have assumed both parts were included. For anyone looking to purchase parts online, whether from Pinnacle or somewhere else; just note that the 'timing gear set' only includes one cam sprocket, so order two if you need both. Mr. Norton seems to genuinely want to ensure customer satisfaction. Based on fellow NICO member's responses, I think we can safely recommend doing business with Pinnacle.

I have ordered some special order stuff for my front end and every thing was as advertised... i was happy with them. but this has me concerned

Could of been an error on the site.ALthough they should of given you more than free shipping IMO.But they offered and you took.And if he changed the site before you have proof it's your word against theirs.

I've ordered parts from them before and had no problems, I doubt they would intentionly mislead somebody like it was probally just a typo, However im going to be replaceing my timing set in a few months so thats something I will have to look out for

I too have had great success with Pinnacle..I'm talkin they found 20yr(literally, for my '85 pickup) old OEM Nissan parts with faded labels dust on them. About $1K worth and they came through. They're good so don't give up right away.

240sHorTy,I am very sorry for the unpleasant experience you had concerning the Timing gears for your car. Unfortunately, the online is not built by Nissan, but is provided by a third party vendor. Several other sponsors on this board use the same system and their catalog will also provide the same results when choosing that particular item. Thank you for your response. Yes I am aware that many sites use the same software for the parts search. I looked at probably 8 or 10 different sites before deciding on Pinnacle. I think all but one of them used the Trademotion parts drill down search. It would be naive to think I am the first to order this part from Pinnacle or any of these other sites. Every site has the identical search with the same exact description of 'timing gear set'. If the parts are sold individually, I would find it hard to believe that the listing hasn't come into question many times before (whether at Pinnacle or on other sites). No one likes to receive something that wasn't exactly what they expected/purchased.

Anyway, I believe it's not an intentional error, so on that note, I'm sorry if my initial post was a little harsh or premature. My experience does not appear to typify the services provided by Pinnacle and the seemingly slow shipping can't be blamed on the seller. Understand, I only posted after calling to try and resolve and being told to purchase a new one.

damn i buy stuff from pinnacle...do us NICO members get a discount?

im thinking of ordering distributor caps/rotor, spark plug wires.

i recently bought rear brake pads/pcv valve/fuel filter.

it definitely doesnt hurt to tell em that ur from NICO when you are ordering ur parts. i can also vouch for their excellent customer service. always received my parts in under 7 days.............
