did i get wrong pilot bushing?

it wont slide in like i've read it should, it's slight smaller diameter, and longer. the guy at nissan didn't seem to confident it would work thanks

I did the same thing, ordered a new pilot bushing from nissan, well it would go on the shifter, I ended up trying to force fit it , and the thing exploded, bout lost a limb, be careful! lol

Anyways, I just said screw it and ordered a new B&M short thro shift kit. hopefully I wont need another bushing for awhile!

the pilot pushing generally needs to be tapped in. If it's the wrong length, take it back and ask for them to find the correct one. If you take the correct one that you pulled from your car, they should hopefully be able to match it up for you.
