Did I break something

This morning I was driving out pretty early (around 6:30 AM) and it was kinda slippery and the roads were wide so i tried to slide through a few turns. anyways im almost sideways and suddenly i hear a really loud CLUNK from the back drivers side of my car. I sounded almost like i hit another car but the street was completely empty. I pulled over and checked out my cars back everything appeared in order and the street was perfectly flat no potholes or anything.

So does anyone have an idea of what might have caused that CLUNK?
