The same is true for the Versa (and other Nissan models as well). The emblem actually conceals the perforations that allow the wheel cover to split in half. Removing the emblem may not make the airbag any more dangerous than it already is, but you'll never be able to hide the creases and perforations in the rubberized cover. Anything you place OVER where the emblem is, will infact make the airbag more dangerous in one of two ways; 1) The Honda logo you glue onto the airbag cover may inhibit the airbag cover from properly separating at the seams, delaying or preventing airbag deployment. 2) The Honda logo can fly off and become lodged in one of your eye sockets, mouth, or forehead.
and 3) The airbag fails to deploy, you slam your head into the steering wheel, and you now have a permanent "H" embedded into your forehead.
