I disconnected my heater hoses from the throttle bodie, and just connected them togeather with a fitting and clamp. Is this going to make the air a little cooler?alsocan I cut the fittings off the throttle body?

The reason Coolant runs though the throttle body is so the car will idle higher when cold when you first start it up,and when the coolant warms up the idle will drop down.I did what you did on a 300zx tt.Didnt change anything.

please hook it back up if you live anywhere towards the north. what it does it prevents icing of the throttle body at temps of 50 degress or below. as air goes around the throttle plate it creates a vacuum, this lowers teh temp of the air and if it is cold enough moisture in the air will freeze and make a little ice chunk all the way around the butter fly. if this happens your throttle will feel dead until about quarter throttle then it will jump as air is allowed past the ice. not too good... other wise it doesnt do anything in hot weather...

It could also theoreticaly cause the throttle to stick open. Having said that i've been running without it for 2 years no without issue.

it cant really make the throttle stick open bc there isnt any vacuum at WOT or under boost so there wont be the freezing air caused by the vacuum. and the return spring is pretty tough

Not WOT... think more along the lines of cursing on the interstate at 10 to 12 pounds of vacuum.

No, the reason there is ice forming is because of the sudden pressure drop following the throttle plate. This is an aerodynamic and thermodynamic principle.
