I have the exact same problem. Mine started happening a couple of months ago when I also cleaned the IAC Valve, but in addition cleaned the Throttle Body and the MAF sensor as well. I wasn't sure which one of those three procedures caused the problem since I did them all at once. However, since it seems like you only cleaned the IAC Valve on your car, I will assume that it was also the cause of my problem. I want to start reading up on how to adjust the Idle speed so I can lower it to normal, but I don't understand why I'd need to do that if I never increased it to begin with...all I did was clean the TB, IACV & MAF.

There's a little screw on the throttle cables that controls the idle speed.

You could tweak that. I had this problem too. Now my car start idling at 1500 rpms and gradually lowers after it warms up. Once it's hot it idles at around 650-700.

I wonder if reseting the ecu would make any difference. It's possible that the ecu has been running the engine harder to compensate for garbage build up and now that it's clean, doesn't know what to do.
