Did any of the RB motors come with VVT

yes, the rb25 series 2 did. That is why it has the hump over the intake cam on the front cover (as opposed to rb20 and 26 that say rb20 or rb26).

The RB25DET any series came with variable intake cam timing, not just the series 2.
