If they are charging the customer extra it is a rip off.Slider4105 wrote:If you're talking about Schumacher Infiniti here in West Palm then they stripe pretty much every car they have. I hated it at first, but it's grown on me. Adds a little flair to the car.
**EDIT** It had nothing to do with any packages, they just think it looks cool.
Protection my $ss. Perhaps thats why some call it Stealership?Slider4105 wrote:They had it as part of a $1,185.00 "Protection Package" which included the paint protector and interior protector . When I told my salesman to take that charge off he didn't even hesitate, and went yeah we put that on there to hope people pay for it.
That's the one! We bought ours from them on eBay... she had some small rock chips, a scuff on the bumper, and a dent in the hood from sitting in their back lot during Hurricane Wilma. Most of it buffed out, and dent wizzard was able to fix the hood.Slider4105 wrote:If you're talking about Schumacher Infiniti here in West Palm
Mine was definitely tape... very good tape, but tape none the less. My first 1990 Q had painted on stripes, and my current one has tape. I'm beginning to think they're all dealer options.Tampa G35 Sedan 6MT wrote:the Pin stripe on my 06 looks like it is painted on. I don't think that was a dealer installed option. It looks to be paint and not a pin stripe tape.
Yeah really - but it's a huge lot. I was amazed at the inventory they keep on hand. The guy who sold ours to us was apparently in charge of liquidating the Wilma-damaged cars. He said he had a QX56 that was damaged enough to have a salvage title. Apparently it was sitting under a tent and got the everloving crap beat out of it.Slider4105 wrote:Yeah mine was sitting in that back lot and had a $hitton leaves and tree debris and a few light scratches all over it....don't see why in South Florida you keep trees surrounding a car holding lot with cars that are semi expensive.
