So Im impulsive and decided to get a s13 with a RB26. I did a motor swap on my subaru so Im not mechanically stupid. With that said, I took a look at the vacuum diagram for the motor and Im not too familiar with the set up of the motor. Anyway it had been sitting for awhile when I got it, it started ok yesterday but I had to stay on the throttle to keep it running at idle. Now today when I started it the idle is all F#$d up and it wont stay running for long till it dies. So other than a vacuum leak could it be something else? The motor is stock so any ideas other than my own would be great! Thanks!

Not enough info IMO... Could be all kinds of random stuff causing your issues.

Start with the basics, pressure test your intake system and eliminate any leaks. Check out fuel pressure (43.5psi/3bar at idle with vac hose unhooked from FPR), check out your base ignition timing (usually 15* on mt). Pull the codes from the ECU if possible. If all that stuff checks out then look at the idle air setup and/or test sensors. The FSM has a big troubleshooting section you should reference. Good luck

after you check all of that, you can check your idle adjustment on the IAC.
