Have you played with the search function on the forum yet?

It may yield you some answers from old suspension, shock and strut posts concerning the J30.

Welcome to NICO!!! I think you're our very first member from PEI.

I have family in the Maritimes and have driven many times through there (mostly NB and NS) and have only ever seen one other J.

Your only option for suspension components for the J30 are Nissan OEM. Keep in mind the J30 is much heavier than a Nissan 240 and even a 300zx. The coils make look the same but the tension at which they are wound is diifferent. Your other option is custom, but that is more expensive.

I don't know what your proximity is to O'Regan Infiniti in Halifax. They may be cheaper to order from or the Infiniti dealer in Newfoundland (I believe they're located on Topsail Rd in St. Johns).

If somebody came out with an aftermarket strutt kit for the J30 that was good and at a realistic price they would have a goldmine ,I DESPERATLY need my struts replaced but cant afford it .900'ish for the kit .. Outrageous

howdy sorry for the delay.ok,springs are a tuff one.mine are made local per my specs.all i can really say on that is find a local spring manufacturer.places that service big trucks for springs and such.the company thta did mine mostly does big truck work.gitts spring in kent wa.i wouldnt mail away for custom springs.j30's a *****.well at least with super strong springs cause they are way shorter'i dont need a spring compressor to take mine out.lol.mine are 2.25 in front and 1.50 in back to set on the tires.i got two fingers clearance above tire.and rarely tap it.unfortunatly quickor suspension closed up shop.thats were i had the sway bars made.i let them barrow my bars to make for others and they kept them.drag,or id send anywhere for you guys to use as protos.a good sway bar maufacturer takes a day if you bring your car to them.wish i knew anyther one but i dont get out to ask questions now.darn.struts bars.i know nothing about.i use nissan sport rear gears,436.to do that i went to the place the dealership farms the work out to.told them what i wanted.they got back and said nissan sport has them.i forgot what it cost.between 1200-1,4,omething like that.i got new bearings and everything.they take them and put back together a few times to make sure nice.puts the car over ten mph.pretty much climb anything without it downshifting.better mileage.turns about 2750 rpm at 60.been awhile i forget,lol.close.for struts i use koni yellows up front for a 96 maxima.man i wish i could find the part numbers.i so confused now days.bigtime.for the back i use custom made koni's.spendy.well as you can see.takes some dilagence to mod this car.lots of hair pulling.wish i had an easy answer for you.but thats how i went about doing mine.easir just to cut the spring and keep oem struts just for the look.probly take out some body roll too.be alittle stiffer.problem is having a tuff spring.they will have thier way with the struts.bouncy bigtime.my 58 belair been rolling on hella cut springs for over 20 years.was bouncy till they came out with gas drop shocks.lol.its like if you want to do it right for awsome handling and stuff its going to be a chore forsure.for a cruiser poser id just cut them.i dont know where to cut infiniti's,just chebys, lol.sorry i took my car down off site.i was depressed looking at it.lol.i focus my attention on my 58 now.between being sick and my infiniti i was drowning in depresion evryday every year.figured i need to have happy thoughts.so far so good.much easier to be around now.got to get it started so my grandson will have it for later.been ordering sheet metal.hehe.im off to ebay, later and good luck buddy.diamond

ExactlyThis car has no shortcuts.Sucks. It took me a while to lower my car, but ever since it was done, it was worth it.
