Finally picked up a dohc cluster. Went to turn the dial on the back of the rpm tach and the little dially thing feel apart.....f*$#. wasted tach but its fine b/c I have been using the infiniti j30 rpm tach.

But I was going to adjust the the mph side and realized it might be easier to calibrate if I had a rough figure to stand on. Like 5th gear at xxxrpm is XX mph.

I have a light weight flywheel, clutch, stock 15" wheels and the J30 lsd.

can anyone help.

If you know someone with a portable GPS its cake to do it that way. My speedometer is dead accurate that way. It also accounted for my different tire size.

or you could drive beside someone and be on the phone with them at the same time and have them tell you how fast they are going.

Last time I did that, while not entirely accurate, it showed that my spedometer was reading about half of the actual MPH.

For example, my friend was doing 50 mph in his truck, I was displaying 25mph on my speedometer.

and at 70mph, I was at 35 mph.

3rd gear + 3,000 rpms = 40 mph

But he has a old school s10 with 22"s

Hope that its close enough.
