My girlfriend has a 99 G20 sedan purchased privateseller a year ago. Her engine light came on a couplemonths ago inspection is due. Amechnaic gave herthe following OBD2 Code:

The MIL is commanded on.

Emissions-related powertrain DTCs, Mode 3:Electronic Control Unit ID: 10P0325Knock Sensor 1 Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 or Single Sensor)Continously Monitored Systems DTCs, Mode 7:Electronic Control Unit ID: 10P0325Knock Sensor 1 Circuit Malfuntion (bank 1 or single sensor)

======

Where should she go from there? I have no idea whatthat means or how much...

Knock sensor have a plastic housing which cracks from heat cycling. 10 years is good life for these sensors.

If you don't understand OBDII diagnostic systems and don't have a personal scan tool. You look up code in Factory Service Manual and follow step by step by step detailed procedures.

The best advice is to utilize a certified Nissan tech who works on the model and year on a weekly basis...............for Infiniti this usually means Dealer services or an PROVEN independent who SPECIALIZES in the brand.

Never work on for free or pay for girls cars is a life lesson most learn at an early age!
