The final DII patch, with some final class optimizations and bug cleanup. It also adds windowed support, which is a godsend for those of us playing on widescreen monitors.

Interestingly, it also adds a respec reward after Den of Evil (which you can hang onto for later).

You need to connect to the "Classic Beta" Battle.net gateway to get the patch.

And don't forget, if you're still playing from your CDs, you can register your game keys with a Battle.net account and get access to no-CD downloadable versions of the games. Crazy fast install and no more disc swapping.

No. Otherwise fair changes. I haven't played D2 in over a year but does respec mean a full respec option in hell? Also glad to see FE's are no longer game enders and that you can play HC right away.

I take no issue with Oblivion Knights losing Iron Maiden. Necromancer still has it, only enemies have lost it.

The respec can be used at any time, on any difficulty level (you get it after den of evil). The Hell difficulty bit only applies to people who are applying the patch to existing characters who are already beyond that point.

And yes, it's a full respec.

Yeah, it feels kind of weird discussing a new patch for such an old game. If only all developers were willing to support their games this long after launch.

Sadly (for DII, not necessarily for me) I find that playing DII now makes me hunger for Torchlight. Although there are things from DII I end up missing in Torchlight, too.

aw, I do miss d2 so much some times :p. Patiently waiting for d3 to come out :p I always liked the oddball builds, like the cryer barb or zeal sorc. good stuff
