A few of the DFW guys meet up every Wed night at 635 and Macarthur from about 8:30p-11p in the shopping center, in front of Starbucks and Wolf Camera. All cars welcome, especially FR cars, even if you don't drift...no rice please. ; )

635 and Macarthur meet has been going on for a long time it seems like. Last and only time I went (about two years ago) a crap-yellow E46 M3 tried to run from the cops.

Anyway, if some silvias are going to show up, I'll definately make it a point to get there. I just picked up a 1992 240SX coupe project on sunday, and will bring it up as soon as I get the SR20 in it.

I don't think they'll be any Silvias there, but a few 240SXs and Corollas...why wait til you get the SR? We aren't SR whores ; ), and everyone knows the best part of the 240sx is the chassis anyways, what you doin for suspension?

Well, I wouldn't hesitate to bring out the 240sx even without the SR20, but I bought it with the motor/transmission removed. Maybe I'll come with my bronco and hang out, just to meet some people (who knows, maybe someone could help me with my project). Lastly, I hope to be doing Tein HA Coils for suspension (do you have suspension components for sale?).

heh, i was out there a few wed. ago. i was with my friend in his red FC. now i finally have an s13 of my own to show off! ill try and make it next wednesday if i can.

where do you guys usually drift at? ive gotta pretty good place by the lake, but we need radios (i have two) so we can post people out side of the entrance (theres actually two entrances, but they are really close together) to the loop to tell us if any cars happen to pass or if a cop rolls by. (usually at night theres no one out there.) but it doesnt hurt to be prepared!

Ender, you're a coupe too? This is awesome that you guys are in the area, I can't wait to go to a meet now. I went to the wed night lewisville meet last week, and it was just a bunch of tools in tahoes, trucks, and a bunch of rice. There were a few nice cars there (shelby cobra, old 60's camaro, nice 350z, and a 240sx with S14.5 healights and carbon fiber hood), but otherwise it was just lame.

EDIT: just realized I said S14 front end conversion, which didn't quite make sense being that it was a late 97ish 240sx.

Ahh, that's cool. I live literally right across the street from UTD. So you're the guy that helped with the RB25 swap? Labor considered, would you recommend doing the SR20 over that now?

...yes and no. i really like the idea of something in car that wasnt meant to be there and working good. hell my 69 camaro had a t56 6speed transmission! i just saw my friends FD with a 3rotor start up yesterday as well. i have never done an SR swap, but i think that i would do it over another RB25 just for the experience. i may end up going SR in my coupe sometime, but im worrying about suspension and chassis first.

Yeah, I'm most likely going to go with the SR swap myself, just because it's probably the most straight forward (not considering the CA18). Also, I'm looking for a lightweight sideways car, not necessarily a top speed king like the RB would be.

Back on topic, I'm looking forward to meeting you guys, I'll probably try and go out there next week with my SRT-4 friend.

How much of a drop is that, and how used are the springs. What are you asking for them? I may pick those up just to hold me over till I can afford the coils.

about 1.3", these are one of the best spring sets you can buy...linear rate, fairly stiff, and close front and rear spring rates (good for drifting) My friend has had his for less than a year, and he can probably sell them as early as this weekend...

the north side of grapevine lake. gimme a shout at 469 595 7700(my names charlie) if you want to meet up some where and do some drifting. the thing with the lake is, you have to keep it low key because sometimes cops get reports of teenagers drinking and they scour the area. thats why we need someone posted at the entrance to tell us whats going on.

also, the back side of texas motor speed way has the most gigantic parking lot known to man, and most of it is asphault. no one ever goes out there after midnight. we can go there too.

and on the south side of grapevine lake theres my favorite course, but i havent been there since i got back from military training, and when i did go there last, the road was closed (i think they were re-asphaulting it! :D )

All show and no go. See also: Huge wings on FWD cars, 50% of the car is covered in vinyl, huge exhaust (not applicable to supras), underbody lights, ugly clashing colors, etc etc etc.

nah man, don't put underbody lights on your car please. Sell them and buy suspension or something. Hang out with some of us, and you will see the light.
