Is the ECU giving you a code?

i thought the 20 was supposed to be 10 BTDC timing? i could very well be wrong but i could swear it was...also if think you are detonating pull your spark plugs and check them for signs of detonation to be sure.

Did you check for vacume leaks? That tomei ecu might have a very agresive timming map on it.

Why would your TPS jump around? How much does it move from 0.45 V? If it is changing without your foot on the throttle, then something must be loose.

As for the detonation, you said it all.... you have a Tomei ECU. What octane was that tuned for?

the tps goes between about .43 to .47 and the car will not idle at the same rpm

Did you change the fuel filter before you did the swap?

Damn I'm stumped. What do the plugs look like? maybe a injector isn't up to par and is making you go lean. Kick the timming back and see if it still dose it.

i would suggest you stop the octane booster.

its garbage. [all of it]

to make 100 octane, you would have to add 5 gallons of toluene to 10 gallons of 93 octane gasoline.

that 16 oz bottle of junk only raises the octane by .1 or .2 [ex. 93 octane- 93.1 octane]

also, that tomei ECU was most likely tuned for japanese gas, which is higher quality than US gas. japan gets 98-100 octane pump gas.

you might want to seriously consider ditching that ECU.
