Welcome!! and good luck! (not being sarcastic lol)

You should read the "Everything you need to know about the Z32" sticky in the 300zx Technical forum, it has tons of good info on usual problems. There's a whole bunch of things to look for, but like any car make sure it doesn't have frame rust/rot and hasn't had any major accidents (the frame-bending kind).

Then the usual stuff like overheating, smoking, fuel smells, sketchy looking wiring harnesses, problems starting, rough idle, etc.

Common problems with the Z32 include: bad injectors, blown turbos, bad sensors (from age), corrosion on electrical connectors, wacky idle from 9,000 different things (joking, its only like 3 or 4), bad heater cores, leaking T-tops, bad O2 sensors... am I forgetting anything?

Also search a little this has been discussed thoroughly since the internet was available to the mass public. :chuckle:

But welcome to NICO! If you find a car your interested in and want some second opinions then please don't hesitate to make a new thread and post the link up.

What is your budget and would it be a daily driven vehicle?

Be prepared to support it financially, it's been destroying my bank account for years :)

Good to be here :)

yeah i have been searching these forums for a little now and i did find tons of great information. i am alright at working on cars on my own but i want to get better at it. so hopefully doing everything on my own(with some help of some people) will increse that. but anyway i have checked out those forums and it did teach me about it. I really want the TT because it sounds like a animal. With the stats to proove it. If i do get a NA i will somewhere down the line get a TT swap.

Welcome and go TT. For what you spend up front you save alot more vs doing a swap!

He is very right, i had to go all the way to atlanta a 3 hour drive to find mine. All the ones in my area where super molested and people wanted way to much money for them.
