So to make a long story short, the other night when i was driving under normal circumstances, my car died and i checked my ecu light and it wasn't working period. So i check the obvious and make sure no wires are melted and causing a short. Nothing obvious. So i ordered another ecu through goofynick and when i put it in and turned the car on (not starting it) the ecu light flickered as if there was a bad connection and the fuel pump came on and off w/ the light. So i check continuity between the ecu pins and a body ground to see if anything is grounding out that shouldn't be. The only thing i noticed was that pin number 30 sensor ground (throttle sens, ENG temp) did not read a ground. Could this be the problem? can anyone shed any light on the situation? THANKS!

that shouldnt cause this problem

id check your inputs, the main wire for the ECU comes from the ignition switch through the F3/M63 plug junction near the ECU. its a big red/blk wire if im not mistaken. id check that for power and continuity between the ignition switch and ecu.

I've checked the majority of the power wirees, most of them read the 12 volts they are supposed to see. I have a new diagnosis. I gathered the balls to leave the ign switch on power after the ecu flickered and after it did that the power light on the ecu just constantly flashes. blink on blink off just like the long flashes from running the diagnosticcs on it. Constant, no change. I tried to enter diagnostics but i couldn't get anything. It just continues to flash. I am too scared to try to crank the car, i'll be out another ecu and time and money if this one goes. Any ideas are appreciated THANKS

EDIT: could the ecu just be wrong? My ecu said MEC-R212, this new one says MEC-R132. The MEC-R132 is a 90-91 r32 gts-t and the MEC-R212 is a 91+ R32 GTS-T. Any info regarding the situation is greatly appreciated.

Hey, i grew the balls to start it and it starts and idles a littlerough, if i give it over 50% throttle it stops revving completely, nobackfiring, just stops revving. if i give it slight throttle it revsas high as i want it to. I still can't put the ecu into diag modebecause it still just flashes. Any insight on the flashing ecu led??? Thanks
