What a performer, at base around $70k at Z06 level but appears to match or exceed performance, dual clutch not available with Z06, decent trunk and back seat area if not room for adults. 0-60 at 3.5 seconds, top speed 190+. Would love to see a luxury model in the infiniti line and showrooms.

Hello,It seems in a word, no. There was internal discussion as to whether the GT-R would be a Nissan or Infiniti branded vehicle in the states. Given that Skylines have always been Nissan branded, Nissan NA prevailed much to the consternation of Infiniti execs. There have been rumors on Autospies, Fastlanedaily,etc.. about a multitude of new vehicles coming form Infiniti as the brand expands Worldwide. This includes a new Q45 level flagship, and indeed a sports car, and more. It would seem likely the engine from the GT-R would be put in other vehicles to amortize the development costs. As to a rebadged GT-R, I would personaly say no. As a purchaser of an $80,000.00 car, I would want the loaner cars and other perks that come with owning an Infiniti.Cheers,M.L

Unfortunately, no longer a Nissan or Infiniti, but continuing here at NICO!

Mark has it right ... I get the same information from all my Nissan and Infiniti sources (and I have some that I cannot talk about - NDA issues!).

Thus, so far, no actual decision on any Infiniti model that is based on the GT-R. That does not mean that the decision may not change in the future.

May not be GTR based, but that engine should make its way into an Infiniti. There are rumors of it making it into the G hard top convertible... would make sense to have something that could keep up with the 335 in a straight line.
