Is there a special type cleaner to make the engine cover like new again?..mine seems to have spots on it (oil?) that won't come off...your help is appreciated:)

Heres a link that should have an answer.

That's a freebie from me. Next time, I'd suggest using the search bar or just perusing the general/tech/DIY/how to threads until you find what you're looking for. Good luck with that cover though because although mine needs it, I haven't had the time or motivation to attempt a clean.

I would suspect it's some type of degreaser if it's discolored the plastic. You could try some kind of plastic polish or kit wax, I don't know if it will help or not.

I used Simple Green and then Meguiars scratch x (plastic polish).

By the way...WELCOME TO NICO

I'm not stressing about your question. No biggie. Don't pay attention to that crap about "freebie" and "search". We're a forum, to exchange info and communicate. We're not a big encyclopedia that needs to be researched. So have fun, and don't let that crap bother you. Enjoy your time here, and ask any other questions you may have!

My apologies if I was slightly grumpy earlier. I was in a crappy mood and I had no right to take it out on you. Noah is absolutely right, this is a site to exchange information and you asked for some and instead I linked you and blew you off which is not something I should have done or something I usually do. Again, my apologies to you and to Scott and Noah for letting the purpose of NICO slip away from me because of an outside source.
