im tired of going to shows and being counted off for my "glass." the person who owned the car before me obviously didnt give 2 crap loads much about the car and i have done my best to detail it back to "stock." i have detailed and detailed and detailed some more. the paint looks good and has a great shine to it, however the windows and windshields have a butt-load of waterspots EVERYWHERE!! i have used everything imaginable to try to remove them but nothing works...at all!! i have used about every glass cleaner, foam spray, microfiber cloths, and even tried 0000 steel wool (which was recommened by doing a search). NOTHING works!!! it gets annoying being counted off for something that you have done everything imaginable to fix!! how in the hell do i get them off and get my windows back to being crystal clear???? can anybody help ?????

I've always heard that the fine steel wool with vinegar works, but I haven't tried it.

I've just busy as hell lately. Helping a guy do a motor swap in his Max two weeks ago, slammed at work last week, and hung over most of this weekend.

Now I've got to get the Max ready to go to NOPI in the next two weeks. Trans flush, tire balance, alignment, oil change, complete detailing, install a new part or two.

Have you tried treating your windows with rain-x? I had water spot, probably not as bad as yours, but it fixed my problem!!!

Here you go Ben. Check this link (about half way down the page).http://www.autogeek.net/waterspots.html

And make sure you wash all that gas off your windows before using anything else.

yeah i have tried rainex. i like it, its good stuff. but it doesnt remove the waterspots already on there, it just beads up new water so its easier to wipe off. sometimes after using rainex ill drive along and not even need to use the wipers cause the water just sheets right off! good stuff!!

I guess your last resort would be replacing your windshields...

Damn I'm beat. Just spent 6 hours detailing the Max today and didn't even get to the interior. The good news is that my to-do list for NOPI is growing smaller.

So far I've done the following: wash/wax the exterior, clean the engine bay, installed new hood struts, changed the oil, replaced the front O2 sensor, transmission flush, rotate and balance, and repaint the wiper arms (paint chipped). All that has been done since I got off work last night.

I still have to detail the interior, get an alignment (appointment Tuesday), and install my new antenna mast.

Hopefully I don't think of anything else that needs to be done before Friday.

No wonder you're offline, after a day like that I'd be sleeping too. All I did was unloaded 2 pallets of pavestone, 105 bags of sand and 60 bags of white marble chips, leveled my backyard and layed 1/2 a pallet of the pavestone. Tomorrow will be the rest of the pavestone and going to home depot to buy windsor wall stones. No time for the Max this weekend, but yesterday it got piped.
