Yeah, I like Holly rolling the clay with her charm bracelet on. Aaaacck, she's washing the car with it on! Look out paint!

I just don't think I could match her twin buffing action, though. ;)

The second link is too risqué for the NICO board system and the altered link won't load.

Don't feel bad, most males would miss that detail also.

However, if she wants to wash my car, she would have to do it in the.....well, she's probably someone's girlfriend, so I shouldn't say that.

Just want to protect my paint, you know. :icesangel

Now a tip for the reshoot: Focus on the hands! ;)

I don't know about you guys, but I tend to get my clothes wet when washing the car 'cause I don't worry about water getting everywhere. Maybe Holly needs to show the results a bit further in the washing process, i.e., wet her t-shirt a bit more - then the bracelet would be even more invisible! :D

Hmmm ... I don't know about you, but I kinda distrust downloading .EXE files like this, unless it is from a trusted source.

Can you zip them up instead? So that we can run virus-checkers on it before pulling out the info.

This is the answer I got."Hi Jon, David O. asked me to answer your question regarding why we use an EXE vs. pdf or some other distribution mechanism. The answer is not clear from a user's perspective, but it is from ours. We gather a lot of usage information from the book that helps us decide where we need to improve our material. The ebook EXE file is essentially a self-contained website. The user interface is a browser, which has full access to the internet. As a result, we can record the most frequently accessed chapters and which links people clink on. This tell us what is most interesting to our readers. We could not do this with pdf technology. Regards,David "So if you dont want to download it don't. BUT it is safe. It's just to help people out.

Hmmm ... I have to admit I really do not like that "record ... which links people click on". This is a bit of an unstated invasion of privacy and pretty much akin to spyware, no?

Frankly, I would not let the program through my ZoneAlarm firewall, and if the program did not work then, then it is useless for me. Sorry for the negative views I have about this issue, but I find undocumented spyware to be unacceptable. That is why my computer uses Spybot and Ad-aware to monitor this behavior and my firewall prevents uncontrolled access from programs on my computer to the Internet.!

Thanks for checking anyway!

Really no excuse not to zip it.

It would be more ethical to rely on reader's voluntary feedback. Frequency of hits doesn't tell one if it is because it is a great source on information, or if the explanation is so flawed readers have to return to it often to determine its meaning. Either (or something else) could generate a high hit number.

He edited his previous post to remove the reason: whenever someone uses his executable to actually purchase something from Autopia, he gets some sort of commission/kickback.

Not a problem with me if he had been up-front about it - we have plenty of people here who run businesses (Jason B. is an excellent example of someone I would gladly support if I wanted his product, because he is so helpful otherwise!)

So ... shrug ...

The funny thing is I DONT get any money unless you choose to buy from Autopia.I have learned so much from Autopia that I wanted people to have a one source of information on detailing. I also enjoy and learn from "Autogeek, Properautocare, Heck even here!If you download the ebook and never purchase anything. COOL!!!I hope you just enjoy the information. Use your own products. Go to Autozone, pep boys and buy your detailing supplies.BUT IF YOU DO order something yes I do get a comision.Jon

Hi, Jon.

Good to see that you are clear about it! Like I mentioned, I don't have a problem with this. FWIW, I would consider buying from Autopia, since I did see some things there that looked interesting. I am willing to do it directly on their web site rather than through an executable on my computer - do they have a way to "account" for it being "your" sale? Like a pass-through URL approach?
