****EDIT: doesn't look like this is going through due to lack of interest. I'll keep an eye out on the meguiar's forum for "open slots" during January and we can have a tiny mini nissan thing going on. I'll email the ppl on this list.

-----------------------------Hey guys, I went to one of these detail days before and LOVE IT! The guys at Meguairs, especially Mike Phillips who will be heading these seminars, are awesome. I went under some other club, fun, but I'd like to go w/ a bunch of NISSANS!!! Plus they have new products for 2006.

Anyway, there is open enrollment now for saturdays in 2006. Typical class size is 30 cars, so we should have at least 20 ppl if we wanna get a class. It's all free, and they don't try to sell you stuff (although you can buy it, haha). They let you try basically any of their products for free and show you how to use it.

I was just wondering if Nicoclub SoCal members wanted to go, show of hands please, we can turn it into a mini-meet - once we get a good # of ppl (if we get anyone who wants to go), then we can start deciding on a date. I'm thinking the earlier the better, but we have to hurry to reserve a spot & I don't want to reserve a spot until we have at least 15 people or so who are down for sure.

Link for more info: http://meguiarsonline.com/forums/showth ... eadid=9482

Classes are usually 8am-3pm w/ Lunch on Saturday.

01. brokeAs240sx02. CybeRise03. The Mic04. shadowracing05. gabossie06. ddgsxr50407. Red coupe (maybe)08. 45guy109. masticatingcow10. 11. 12. 13. 14. 15. ***** We should have this many at the minimal before we even consider reserving a date ****

P.S. This is NOT a sign up list. It's a list of all of us who are interested.

If we get enuf interest w/in the next week or so, I will make a request w/ Meguiars to schedule us. Then we have to sign up through their forum.Modified by brokeAs240sx at 10:01 AM 11/17/2005

I think of this on the comical side. I think you guys should try to fill a class with a bunch of beat up drift cars....lol Let them try to improve the looks of those!!!

ROFL, you'd be amazed at what a lil wax can do .

All this signing up is of course tentative - we can't even really reserve a spot unless we have enough interest - basically if there are only like 5-10 of us, we're better off signing up w/ one of the other clubs (when club registration -> open registration).

So either way, we'll still get in.

Definitely let's get this rolling...

Maybe open it up for ALL NICO members in SoCal?

If we can get enough members to go, I'll come out and bring some goodies too.

SWEET! Yea, that's what I meant - I just forgot that some of us on here don't have 240's, HAHAHA.

The way it looks right now, if we do get enough guys & gals to join in this nissan extravaganza, earliest will be March/April - Jan & Feb filled up this past weekend.

I didn't want to sign up Nicoclub for Jan & Feb when it was available & only have like 10 nico members show up, wouldn't look good at all.

From the looks of it, since there are around 10 or less of us interested in doing this, we can coordinate w/ each other via this thread or email & just go in under one of the other groups during January - usually they have between 20-25 sign up depending on the club, and we can sneak in our bunch during Open Registration.

Unfortunately, this idea just didn't quite make it as popular as I thought it might.

I did this event with the Jensen Healy Preservation Society in September, it's a great way to spend Saturday morning / early afternoon. I didn't learn much I didn't already know, but I've been detailing for 15 years or more. Still, it was an enjoyable day, and I did learn some tricks. I'd do it again, and I'm trying to get another forum to do this, perhaps if we can't get enough interest we can merge them.

Sounds good falkdesigns. Let's go ahead and merge it - that should give us 30 ppl or so.

You are now in charge of reserving a date if we merge, hehehe, I'm a lazy bastard .

Kind of sucks that we can't get Jan/Feb now tho .

Ok, I posted the idea on the other forum, we'll see how the responses are and go from there, but you gotta reserve the date
