DET Tq Converter bolt to AT P11 transmission?

A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

If I'm not mistaken, it will not work. Those AWD trannies have some huge flywheels. I would assume the TQ converter would be no different.

so i havent studied the whole array of SR cars... do DETs only come in awd cars? i mean people to det swaps, what do they do for trannys? -- i suppose its not a big issue with most people haveing MTs..

No, DETs can be from FWD cars.

If it's a FWD DET, I suspect it would line up just fine.

If I'm not mistaken the Avenir, Sunny, and Bluebird all came in FWD setups with DETs, though they are not restricted to FWD.

edit: A little hunting around on the internet shows a FWD Avenir with a DET since 2002. I could have sworn there'd been FWD DET's for the lifetime of the SR.

NO DET's come FWD, the Avenir, GTiR, Bluebird are AWD vehicles. They are all automatic as well. All you have to do is bolt on a flywheel and clutch of your choice for MT. For an automatic, you should be able to use your transmission, flywheel and torque converter.

In 2002 the Avenir has a QR20DE/QG18DE. They stop production of the SR20DET in 01.

well my turbo project kinda ate the dust because of this. i wouldnt be able to do a manual swap till about a year after going turbo, and it just doesnt sound like my transmission/tq converter will hold up that long. so i guess, for now, ive switched the two projects. the stock de torque converter just wont handle the power. weve got a guy who did the same setup as me, blew out his first transmission in 10 months driving it hard. so he got another with only 32k on it, and babied it. it lasted him 6 months, on 7psi with a t25. <--which was my plan, to go stock boost.

itll be easier once ive done the manual swap... no tq converter issues or anything.

The chart I looked at had the year in question marks. Not a surprise, it wasn't a reputable source.
