det to an rb25??

im probally getting a 240 with an rb20det in it but the guy said it was rebuilt to a 2.5 with rb25 internals...is that possible??

thats kinda hard to beleave considering and rb25 is 2.5 liters with 6 pistons and no matter what you do and sr still only has 4 pistons .. the stock pistons of an sr should be larger bore than an rb just by the math 2.5 divided by 6 as opposed to 2.0 divided by 4 ..2.5 by 6 0.41666 2.0 by 4 0.5 so to get 2.5 with rb internals you would have to have one hell of a stroke to get 2.5 out of it ..

+1 on the reciepts thing because its sounds like load of ****. Where did all that SR and 4 cylinder talk come from element? If you read the post you'll notice he's talking about an rb20det. Rb20+ rb25 internals/stroker kit=maybe possible but highly unlikely.
