DET head vs. DE head

is there a difference between the JDM Ca18det head, and the USDM Ca18de head?

I'm looking to get an extra head, and I'm wondering if the head design, valve sizes, springs, and lifters are all the same between heads?and, are the cams the same? not that I wouldn't be able to switch cams, just wondering.

and afaik, the de and det heads are the some, there are only minor bottom end differences between the two motors.

I dont believe there is much of a difference in head design, but the breathers on the valve covers will be different, and youll need a rwd intake manifold and stuff.

They're basically the same. Cams are different, valve covers are different, and the USDM head doesn't have the plug in the 4th port for the EGR like the JDM does.

accually, right now, I'm just looking for a head, so I can maybe get it ported and upgrade the valvetrain. If the heads are the same, I could grab one from a junkyard, or if I found a DE head for sale, I could switch the cams.
