Just a crazy thought that wandered into my head. Would it even be possible, I mean use something like a RB20 crank or something? Would it be worth the effort?

the 26 crank works in the 25, so im guessing you could use the shorter stroke of the 25 in the 26. the question is why would you want to spend money to do that? the 26 is already a short stroke motor (look at the 2jz it is a square strok:bore ratio)

Just like I said, it was a crazy thought, no real purpose.

why in the world would you go buy a rb26 and destroked it? the stroke make the power that the rb26 is all about. go buy an rb20.

Destroking motors is retarded.

.... and then you could go one further and convert it to FWD. You'd be the envy of all of NICO, I can assure you.

That's a lot of destroking. You sure can handle all that destroking? Have you ever destroked before?

Do you know what destroking does? Where do you destroke at? How often do you destroke? The destrokers I've met are all up to date on how to destroke... hell, they destroke all the time.

Have you read the latest issue of destroke?

Say it a lot and it really starts to sound like a horrible word... because it is.

At a bore/stroke ratio of 1.166... I agree it's not a good idea

However... on a large displacement undersquare motor that is a big small block or big block... I don't think it's such a bad idea... so destroking isn't "retarded." Lower avg piston velocity could help on one of those... it all depends on where and how you want your power delivered

Don't knock someone for having ideas... everyone can't know everything... I know I don't

Heeeeyy... I could be wrong, but I think flaming looks a bit more evil. What you're reading is supposed to be tongue in cheek. Destroking an RB26 is a pretty funny idea, after all, so why not write goofy answers? Destroking has its place, but dropping a weaker RB20 crank into an RB26 is just not a great idea.

i got an idea you give me your rb26 crank and rods and i'll give you my rb20 crank and rods, i think that sounds fair and you could use them to destroke the rb26.i will pay for shipping both ways.
