Wiring in dual Perma-cool fans with a thermostatic control box.

Here's what I have to work with:

Off the fans, there are 2 red and 2 black wires (+ and ground).

The thermostatic control box has 7 lugs, labeled:

BCMG+M+M-

I also have the old 2-wire harness from the A/C fan, which I'm assuming needs to be wired in as well.

Anyone gimme a clue here?

What is the brand of the thermostatic control box?

Are you gonna keep the old A/C fan running, or did you remove it?

You think perma cool fans would be better than the flex-a-lite 210's?

No idea who makes the box.... I think its a Permacool unit.

No room for the a/c fan anymore, it used to be between the stock clutch fan and the radiator.

I have FAL duals and my wires are connected like this.

B - Constant with in-line fuse to battery.G - Ground+ - Ignition Power sourceM+ and M- are connected to the actual fans and are interchangeable depending on whether you want them as pushers or pullers.

Edit: Fuel Pump is a good choice for the ignition power.

Yeah, Greg, I just got done searching and found the answer on Google and SEVA hit it dead on.

Don't even worry about the A/C fan plug. Just let it hang. Don't run your wiring for your new fans off of that.

the fuel pump is a rather...unintelligent way to wire up the fans for ignition. all you need is it to draw too much current and POP. out goes the fuse and the pump dies. instead, use the AIV plug harness. the brown wire is a 12V on with ignition wire. much safer if you're removed your AIV...which should be done anyway since its poop.

and yes, dont bother with the A/C harness. you just needto have one fan constant, one fan on at a certain temp.

i have a good paint pic of a simple wiring harness if you want it greg, its basic, but it will show the wiring using a relay for one fan. the thermo switch is out of my hands. holla if you want it.

In the process of installing my Flex-a-lite fan myself. the Tem control box is the same I think.

The one question I have is, on the diagram, it shows to ground to the battery. Since my battery is in the trunk, its a bit out of the ways. Is it ok to just ground it on the side wall or other grounded part of the car?

yes, but only ground to something that is directly connected to the frame. i would assume it would be better to ground off of the battery anyway.
