Not quite sure where to begin but heres what i know.

My car with timing set correctly feels like it wont past around 2500 Rpms (tach isnt hooked up so im guessing). Basically there is no power with the timing set correctly.

My friend told me i had a knock sensor problem and that its advancing my timing 21 degrees. Minus the ****ty timing the car seems "normal" minus horrible gas milage and crappy power. Ive come to discover my water temp sensor was not hooked up after my lower rad hose. That has since been fixed, however the car still has crappy timing.

Not sure what to do/check, i know after reading similiar problems ive come to think its a MAFS issue however im not sure.

However i know the knock sensor is hooked up engine wise (under intake manifold) and that the 2 pins on the ecu both have a lot of voltage so something is going on.

Thanks in advance for any help.

2500 rpms sounds to be a maf problem. i would look into that. knock sensor retards timing but you can rev over 2500

after a good nights sleep,if its the maf and it wouldnt let me past 2500 or so rpms how would advancing the timing override that?
