EDITED: Anyone that still would like to donate to Japan, please donate here:
https://american.redcross.org/site/SPag ... 32.app215a

My fellow NICO brothers and sisters.

As you know I live in Japan and with the current state of affairs coming out of the nuclear power plant, the contradictions between U.S. news and Japanese news outlet, and the non stop earthquakes, I have decided it's in the best interests of my three children to get them out of here.

Unfortunately, I need to ask for some help. It is with great humility that I ask this, but I'm asking if any of you can donate money to help me in this situation, I would be forever in your debt.

My father has agreed to help, but only to a certain amount. Unfortunately it is a bit below what I would need to book a flight out for Monday. So, I would be asking for just small amount.

Any little bit is helpful. You are not obligated to help me, so please don't feel that you must. Do it only if you want to.

From the bottom of my heart, I thank you.

Neal

NOTICE: Goal has been met and no further donations are needed. Thank you very much to all of you!!!

Paypal addy please!

I'd much rather donate to something like this than to a large corporation where they never really say what they are doing, and half the money probably never gets to the disaster zone anyway.

I hope this works Neal!!

Wow, how much do you need? Can you give us a figure that we can work towards? We all understand the situation. Are you leaving as well?

How close are you to the devisation/power plant? And in terms of what is happening now, what do you think will happen? Will there be a mass meltdown, and are you afraid of the outcome of Japan in terms of this event actually happening?

FOR THOSE WHO ARE DONATING

Send as Gift
and add here how much you sent

Me - $5.00

Funny, my name is Anthony as well. You are referred to as Neal? lol

As of right now, I would need about $300 if I were to book the flight.

Amays...thank you very much.

To answer your questions, I am 130ish miles southwest of the plant.

What do I think will happen? Well, I am the type who things the worst will happen. My philosophy is prepare for the worst, hope for the best.

Well you are there. Can you tell us more about the situation? How far has the panic spread over the nuclear reactor? Did the tsumani devistation reach you?

You did not say if you were leaving or not?

Japan is still having tremors?

Japan is still having tremors?

Yes. I will be taking my boys home. My wife can't get time off, but it is understood that if it gets bad, she will get out of the country.

Panic in Japan usually doesn't happen, but it's more of a calm panic, so to speak.

Many, many, many foreigners are leaving the country.

I would normally just go south, but with having a 20 month old child, it's going to be hard to take care of him and my two other boys by myself. I will be going home and will have assistance from my parents.

And yes, we are still having quakes. Had two good ones yesterday than another good one last night.

Probably should've mentioned I sent some funds your way. Are airline ticket prices starting to skyrocket? I would imagine there is a pretty high demand right now for flights out. And I'm seeing a few reports that some airlines are limiting flights to Japan (though I have no idea if there is any truth to that).

Sent. It wasn't much, my checking accts were removed a while ago and it takes a week for them to get it connected again, so I sent what I had.

Man I can only imagine that those quakes are adding to, and what kind of insight it is putting into people. I understand the gov't doesn't want a large panic, but you know if you feel this way, being as you have a home in another 'safer' place, then many others in your shoes are doing everything they can to get their feet off of that island.

We are all trying to help you out brother!!!!

Godspeed
