My buddy and I are installing my new EPROM, and in the process of removing the stock chip, he noticed that pins 1 and 2 had their solder points touching. He was wondering if they, pins 1 and 2, needed to be connected. He doesn't think so, but he wanted me to check.

So we got the stock EPROM out and found that they are supposed to connect. Delete thread.

I'm gonna leave it up so that if somebody has this question again, maybe they'll find this post.
