Designed and built my own custom air intake

Did this project for my 1999.5 Nissan Pathfinder


^^stock intake tubing and aftermarket cone filter (bought from eBay and it is washable), intake resonator and filter box are all removed.


^^got a 6" aluminum pipe, one 2.75"-3" (throttle body to 3" intake aluminum pipe), one 3"-3" coupler (for the M.A.F part) and two 1/2" barbs


^^ drilled holes into the aluminum pipe and then JB welded the barbs in place


^^ painted the aluminum tube black


^^ what it looks like after painting


^^ got some red vinyl tubing from eBay for the vacuum lines


^^ installed into my pathy and works great!

the intake pipe i got from here:

but its better to get a good quality plastic intake tube because the metal gets really hot and you want cold air in your intake not warm/hot,
the 1/2" barbs are from lowes or home depot
