I look upon the first generation Q45 as an example of design at the highest level. there are items that trancend time and exist on the highest levels because of their design and the materials used to create their design. I include my first generation Q45 in that catagory. Some of the other items included are my Rolex Submariner, My Leica M4, and my Colt .45 Series 70 National Match pistol. They are never redundent and can always compete on the highest level. Yes, many new things have more bells and whistles but when it comes down to their essential perfomance it doesn't matter. My Q45 will run with the best. I get so much injoyment driving this car, every day in my daily commujte I touch 100mph or more, I am always amazed at how stable this platform is. I also have a 2000 Q45 Anniversery edition (my Wife's car),which is a is a wonderful car in its own way, but at highway speeds and higher it can't touch my old Q45. When this one is gone. I'll probably look for another one.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------1996 Q45 + 2000 Q45 Anniversary Edition.

ITS THAT GOOD

Perfect example... Ive driven quite a bit of cars, and when I am at my destination I am usually ready for the trip to be over... Not the case in the Q, when I drove to lexington (about 4-5 hours) i was ready to go ANOTHER 5 hours... I could have gone the full way driving, but the bladder thought otherwise.....

Yes Ferris, I totally agree! I'll take the Q and Slone Peterman sitting in the passenger seat.

Mr1der.......... The Leica M4 is probably one of the finest 35mm. cameras ever made (German), it is based on a 1928 design and is still being manufactured today.

If you ever go digital, this is the one for you. Leica Digilux 2.

Looks just like those Ms. All of the controls where you expect it, and has a nice LEICA DC VARIO-SUMMICRON 7-22.5 mm f/2.0-2.4 lens. (28-90 mm equivalent)

Never used an M. I'm an SLR guy. I use Nikon and Pentax cameras myself. I had a teacher that would only use M3s. Good for photojournalism because of the quiet shutter.

M3 and M4 are considered the best rangefinder 35mm cameras ever made, even better than their successors.

louigz........I've been looking at that one. I have a Fuji S2 Pro which is really great (nikon lenses). I've had my M4 since 1970 and I still love it , just like my Q45.
