on friday my mom backed up into my 240, since i was backed in the driveway and she was pulling out, she put a nice big dent in my passanger size quarter panel. its not that bit but its noticible, and some paint is chiped off, does anyone know how much it would cost to fix this?

It's tough to even begin to guess without pictures. Anyway, I say you seek restitution on "Judge Judy".

Anyway, you got any photos of the damage?

OMG on your day off of work, take it to a body shop that's got a good local reputation for doing good repair/painting, and have them give you an estimate!

You know, the places that have the signs in big bold letters that say "Free Estimates"

They can give you a complete job price in 5 minutes.

$217.84 plus whatever local taxes are in your area, is my guess on prepping/evening the panel, prime, paint, color-matching the surrounding area/panel, clear coat, finish work, and toxic material handling and supply fees.

EDIT: that's figuring maybe too much labor cost. $182.42 plus taxes is my new figure.

That is the way body shops work though, and to remove a dent with all the work involved + repaint the body panel you could very possibly be looking at $1000. Since the paint cracked you are deffinatly looking at ~$300 for just a repaint. I would suggest you get some experiance with body work by pulling the dent and filling yourself - as long as you are not overly concerned about the final product being perfect. You could even rattle-can the paint if you want to save more $$ (will look like sh*t though).

*shrugs*I've used the ding king a couple of times and it worked just fine. You need to use a different glue than what they give you though.

the 240 is a unibody, you can't just take off the rear quarter panels, they're part of the frame : )
